Potterheads adore everything about the wizarding world and can’t fathom life without Hogwarts and the magnificent trio. Even without the Lumos enchantment, Harry, Ron, and Hermione brightened our lives on numerous occasions.
Pottermania is still going strong, although our invisibility cloaks have undoubtedly become a little dusty over the years. After all, how could we have overlooked everything that has gone wrong with Harry Potter for so long? Go to the next page to read more..
Over the years, Peter Pettigrew has seen a lot.

Yes, you may want to leap into your screen and rip Scabbers apart for betraying pretty much every nice guy in the Harry Potter franchise, but that won’t help. Scabbers — eventually revealed to be Peter Pettigrew – has simply seen too much in his life.
While this revelation altered the entire Harry Potter storyline in Prisoner of Azkaban, as we’ve grown older, we’ve wondered what his existence as a rat was like. He spent 12 years sleeping in either Ron’s, Bill’s, or Percy’s room, which is bizarre.
Love potions were unaffected.

Within the Harry Potter universe, love potions play a significant role. On the one hand, they were regarded as quirky and cute little potions for Wizarding World women to use on their crushes.
A love potion, on the other hand, was responsible for the birth of You Know Who. I’m sure you didn’t consider that. We learn later in the series that Voldemort was born after his witch mother took a love potion on a Muggle in the neighbourhood. So why weren’t they stopped at Hogwarts?
Teachers who are suspicious and their personal lives

What subject would you teach if you had the chance to teach at Hogwarts? Well, you might want to reconsider this career choice because, if you ask us, the teachers at Hogwarts are all a little questionable.
Do they have life outside of school, despite the fact that we know they are incredibly talented? Do you have to sign up every time you’re offered a Hogwarts teaching contract? They teach there, live there, and even sleep there.
Dumbledore struck it rich.

Okay, we’re just going to say it. Dumbledore wasn’t quite a wizard. He was the headmaster of Hogwarts, and he was very helpful to Harry, but he was also the one who dragged Harry into all the drama.
Snape even said it himself, knowing that Dumbledore was only developing Harry to be a skilled wizard in order to sacrifice him as the final Horcrux in the end. Dumbledore had no idea that Harry would one day return to life. He was quite fortunate.
The noticeable absence of confidentiality

If you’re the type of person who prefers to remain to themselves, we suspect you won’t enjoy living in the Wizarding World. At Hogwarts, you must not only eat, sleep, and dress in shared areas, but you must also do everything else.
The Floo Network allows you to walk into someone’s house without warning, Polyjuice Potion allows you to morph into someone else, and the Ministry of Magic keeps an eye on everyone.
Hogwarts is a scary place to be.

When a parent sends their child to school, they expect the teachers and the entire organisation to look after their children. We can morph into an armadillo or another weird animal, but McGonagall deserves credit for sticking to something more mundane.
However, we must consider the regulations that govern being an Animagus. To begin with, what are the rules? If she robbed Gringotts as a (literal) cat burglar, would magical restrictions still apply?
Harry’s house was in bad shape.

While we all know that Harry Potter had a difficult childhood, we don’t believe that enough people are aware of the fact that he grew up in a broom cupboard. Yes, the Dursleys were cruel to Harry, but not even providing him with his own room?
Of course, we all know that he eventually got his own room, but what were the criteria for moving from under the stairs to up the stairs and behind his own door?
Ariana’s details are too hazy.

There are a lot of things wrong with Dumbledore as a character, but one thing we’ll never get over is how ambiguous he is – especially when it comes to the most crucial things.
When talking about their late sister, Ariana, his brother seemed to be no different, as he left out some fairly heartbreaking aspects. Nobody knows what happened to their little sister on the day she died, and we’re not sure how to feel about it.
Barty Crouch Jr’s acts were forgotten.

The Goblet of Fire is one of the darker novels in the Harry Potter series, and because there’s so much going on, we’ve let some things slip through the years. That is, until now.
Barty Crouch Jr. deserves to be recognised for taking his own father’s life, turning him into a bone, and burying it so that he couldn’t be found. That’s pretty dark stuff right there, and we can’t help but wonder why we all just shrugged it off.
The paintings are permanently affixed.

One of the nicest aspects of the Wizarding World is how much cooler the paintings are than in the Muggle world. That’s because the people in these paintings move, and they’re still alive and breathing despite the fact that they’ve died.
While this is a wonderful gesture for individuals who have lost loved ones, what if they don’t want to remain forever trapped in paintings? Because it is the time limit for their stay. Forever and ever, with no prospect of escape. Yikes.
The images are simply incomprehensible.

While there’s no denying that the Wizarding World’s magic makes us extremely joyful, some of the regulations are simply absurd. Take, for example, the photographs. Are these individuals on a never-ending Boomerang?
Are they aware, as the folks in the paintings appear to be? If that’s the case, why don’t Harry and the group talk to the ones who can provide them with answers? When Harry was confused, it would have been a lot easier if he had just spoken to his parents or Dumbledore.
Muggles have seen a lot of things.

When was the last time you witnessed a bus squeeze between two lanes of traffic? Why not have a flying aunt? There’s a good chance you can’t think of anything right now, but that’s probably because a memory charm has been used against you to make you forget.
We might know that as the Muggle race, we have seen a lot if we didn’t have any of these charms imposed upon us. We simply forget that we’ve seen it. That makes sense, right? Good.
Splinching occurs far too frequently.

One of the greatest things about being a witch or wizard is that you can teleport from one location to another as soon as you reach seventeen. It’s far superior to travel via fireplace or Portkey, and it’s also considerably more convenient. Most of the time, at least.
Splinching appears to occur far too frequently, and this is something that would turn us away from this mode of transportation. Why would we wish to cut our chests open or leave a foot behind?
Viktor was very enthusiastic.

If you recall the Triwizard Tournament, Hermione Granger ended up at the bottom of a lake when Viktor Krum chose her as his special item. This judgement, however, must be questioned.
By the time she was picked, the two of them had scarcely spoken, and did he not have anything else in his life that he enjoyed? What about his parents’ situation? What about his animal companion? He seemed a touch too enthusiastic, which was a little strange.
The Sorting Hat is illogical.

While we’ve all wondered which house the Sorting Hat would assign us to, when you stand back and consider what this accessory accomplishes, it just doesn’t make sense. After all, it is this one hat that determines where a student will spend the rest of their school years, who they will associate with, and what their personality will be.
We all know that the person has the last say, but Harry was the one who discovered it for himself. Everyone else simply accepted it.
Why is there still a Slytherin house?

While we’re on the subject of the Sorting Hat and Hogwarts houses, there’s one major point that has to be addressed: why is Slytherin still a thing? Not only has that one house produced some of history’s most evil wizards and witches, but everyone knows they’re bad.
They are never involved when things go wrong and the students require assistance, and it seems pointless to try to rehabilitate them. A Slytherin is a Slytherin forever.
Dumbledore’s shady hiring decisions

We all know that to teach at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, you had to be an amazing witch or wizard, which is why some of Dumbledore’s employment decisions were dubious.
Why did he appoint Professor Quirrel to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts while he was terrified of everything? Why did he hire Gilderoy Lockhart, after all? Dumbledore must have been able to see through this thief’s lies and deception. It simply does not add up.
We are perplexed by the Time-Turner controversy.

We can only presume that JK Rowling created the Time-Turner because a story sometimes requires a little additional punch. After all, it allowed Hermione to become even more of a know-it-all by attending all of her classes, as well as saving Harry’s uncle’s life.
While this was an excellent application of the Time-Turner, why didn’t everyone have one so that nothing negative could happen? The premise is perplexing, which is presumably why she chose to eliminate them all later.
Harry’s forgiving personality

We learn in the final Harry Potter book and movie that Harry named his son “Albus Severus” because he wanted to honour the two bravest men we know. We’ve previously interrogated Dumbledore; now it’s time to interrogate Snape.
While Snape’s story will always make us cry – especially when “Always” is involved – this does not change the fact that Snape was cruel to Harry. We assume he’s just a naturally forgiving person.
The number of lessons available is limited.

While we’d love to drop in on a Transfiguration class or go outside with Hagrid for a Care of Mystical Creatures session, the Hogwarts curriculum raises certain concerns.
Sure, it’s great when you learn all there is to know about magic, but what about your regular classes? If you wanted to work at Gringotts or become an Auror, we’re sure you’d need to learn a little English and Math.
They are out of date.

Because we’re talking about Hogwarts and how this school isn’t quite up to snuff, we should mention that they do their homework with a quill and parchment.
Why were they so behind the times when we last looked, Hogwarts and the Harry Potter universe were situated in a time when pens were invented? Anyone who has tried to use a quill knows how frustrating it is to have to constantly replenish your ink supply.
The Knight Bus is quite exciting.

We have to agree, the Knight Bus is a fantastic concept. It’s fantastic that stranded witches and wizards have a mode of transportation, and we adore that they may be transported somewhere secure.
However, Harry’s experience on this bus was chaotic, and we need an explanation. Can’t these men, if they’re supposed to be magical, just magically bind the beds to the floor so they don’t fly around? It appears to be straightforward to accomplish.
The Cursed Child in its entirety

Everything has been done before. Because the original property is so successful, the world’s money makers are eager to capitalise on it and generate even more money. Nobody asked for The Cursed Child, so we can only presume that was the situation with Harry Potter.
Anyone who has read or watched this narrative knows that it is still Harry Potter, but it is also so far apart from it that it makes no sense. When you read it, you’ll understand what we mean.
Missing Muggle acquaintances

The way the Muggle world interacts with the wizarding world will always be perplexing to us. How come Muggles never realise that over half of the world in Harry Potter is made up of wizards? Beats us.
However, many Harry Potter fans have often wondered what happens to Muggle’s former pals when they enrol at Hogwarts. For example, did Hermione just cut ties with all of her previous pals, or did she continue to spend time with them while pretending to be unmagical?
On the Marauder’s Map, Peter Pettigrew

Despite how grim it becomes towards the end, Harry Potter is ultimately a children’s series. It’s designed for young children. This implies that not everything has been carefully considered. There are a few story holes, and J.K. Rowling probably never imagined her novel would become so popular that adults would pore over it and pick out every inconsistency.
But, hey, they did it, and now we’re here. One big one is the possibility that Peter Pettigrew was found on the Marauder’s Map. This would have established him as Ron’s pet rat without a doubt.
Could Harry’s vision have been restored by magic?

Magic evolves over the series from being fanciful and entertaining in the first few novels to becoming quite serious and capable of practically anything. You can even use magic to KILL someone.
So, with all of its strength, how come there was no spell that could correct Harry’s vision? Even if there was no spell, a potion may have done the trick. As much as that would have made sense, it would have been bittersweet, because Harry Potter without his glasses isn’t really Harry Potter.
That’s a substantial amount of gold.

One of the most ironic moments in the entire series occurs early on, when Harry discovers the vast sum of gold his parents have left for him. He grew up in a less-than-affluent household, essentially living under the stairs as a servant.
He was obviously ecstatic when he discovered all of the money he had inherited. Where did the money come from, though? It was obviously his parents’, but how did they amass so much wealth? Were there any other relatives to whom it should have been given? Questions, questions, questions.
The entire situation with the Marauder’s Map

While the Marauder’s Map is without a doubt one of Harry’s coolest magical artefacts, it contains some interesting contradictions. While it may appear to be a silly device used by Fred and George for pranks, the magic used to create it is actually rather advanced and powerful.
This raises the question of how this map was created by a bunch of teens (including Harry’s father). They were all formidable wizards, but their magical education had only just begun. Something doesn’t add up to us.
The Dementors are terrifying creatures.

Despite the fact that Harry Potter is primarily a children’s series, there are some aspects of the franchise that feel extremely adult. For starters, it’s essentially a civil war fiction with very severe connections to real life. The creatures are usually highly frightening, far more so than small children are used to. The Dementors, in particular.
The happy-go-lucky attitude was gone by the third instalment of the series, so perhaps Rowling assumed that all the youngsters wouldn’t make it that far. However, we can only speculate on how many children were harmed by the Dementors.
How about a wizard primary school?

Observing the students as they progress through Hogwarts is one of the most enjoyable aspects of the Harry Potter franchise. We adore the Deathly Hallows, but with so much time spent on what was going on outside of school, it just wasn’t the same.
But, with so much focus on Hogwarts, which educates wizards from the ages of ten to seventeen, we have to wonder: how can wizards get educated before they turn ten? This is never addressed, and we’re left to wonder if there are any magical primary schools out there. Is it possible that they’re all homeschooled?
Harry took a long time to notice the Thestrals.

The Harry Potter universe is full of strange and fascinating animals, but few are as intriguing as the Thestrals. In the fifth instalment, these winged horses are displayed.
The majority of the students are unable to see them, but Harry and Luna can. What gives? Because they have witnessed a death, which is how you obtain the capacity to perceive Thestrals. When Harry was a baby, though, he witnessed his mother die. So why hadn’t he noticed them earlier? Does it matter that he was so young?
Hogwarts is the centre of the universe.

We wouldn’t have had it any other way if the world didn’t revolve around Hogwarts. It was obvious when we first saw the movies and read the novels that Hogwarts was the most significant location on the planet. However, looking back, it seems strange that all of these bizarre events occurred at this institution.
What happened at the other wizard schools that we saw at the Triwizard Tournament? Is there anything noteworthy going on there, or are these just ordinary schools?
Did the other students take a walk around the campus?

The grounds of Hogwarts were breathtaking, as anyone who had read the novels or seen the movies could attest. Who wouldn’t want to spend their days roaming across grassy meadows, gazing out over snow-capped mountains, and relishing in the splendour of a large lake?
The majority of the students, at least. The only students who actively take advantage of Hogwarts’ spacious grounds are… you guessed it… Ron, Hermione, and Harry, in many moments in the movies. We assume everyone else is studying indoors.
People who are overweight are frequently mocked.

This was something we didn’t recognise when we were younger, but it’s something that truly sticks out today. Maybe it’s just a product of its period, but the Harry Potter series takes great pleasure in fat-shaming people.
While some larger characters, such as Hagrid, are never made fun of, the Dursleys’ figures are mocked in an almost comical manner. When you consider how bad they are, it seems justifiable, yet a few quotations from the books may persuade you that Rowling had it out for the greater people.
