Within the Harry Potter universe, love potions play a significant role. On the one hand, they were regarded as quirky and cute little potions for Wizarding World women to use on their crushes.
A love potion, on the other hand, was responsible for the birth of You Know Who. I’m sure you didn’t consider that. We learn later in the series that Voldemort was born after his witch mother took a love potion on a Muggle in the neighbourhood. So why weren’t they stopped at Hogwarts?

What subject would you teach if you had the chance to teach at Hogwarts? Well, you might want to reconsider this career choice because, if you ask us, the teachers at Hogwarts are all a little questionable.
Do they have life outside of school, despite the fact that we know they are incredibly talented? Do you have to sign up every time you’re offered a Hogwarts teaching contract? They teach there, live there, and even sleep there.
Dumbledore struck it rich.
Okay, we’re just going to say it. Dumbledore wasn’t quite a wizard. He was the headmaster of Hogwarts, and he was very helpful to Harry, but he was also the one who dragged Harry into all the drama.
Snape even said it himself, knowing that Dumbledore was only developing Harry to be a skilled wizard in order to sacrifice him as the final Horcrux in the end. Dumbledore had no idea that Harry would one day return to life. He was quite fortunate.
The noticeable absence of confidentiality
If you’re the type of person who prefers to remain to themselves, we suspect you won’t enjoy living in the Wizarding World. At Hogwarts, you must not only eat, sleep, and dress in shared areas, but you must also do everything else.
The Floo Network allows you to walk into someone’s house without warning, Polyjuice Potion allows you to morph into someone else, and the Ministry of Magic keeps an eye on everyone.
Hogwarts is a scary place to be.
When a parent sends their child to school, they expect the teachers and the entire organisation to look after their children. We can morph into an armadillo or another weird animal, but McGonagall deserves credit for sticking to something more mundane.
However, we must consider the regulations that govern being an Animagus. To begin with, what are the rules? If she robbed Gringotts as a (literal) cat burglar, would magical restrictions still apply?
Harry’s house was in bad shape.
While we all know that Harry Potter had a difficult childhood, we don’t believe that enough people are aware of the fact that he grew up in a broom cupboard. Yes, the Dursleys were cruel to Harry, but not even providing him with his own room?
Of course, we all know that he eventually got his own room, but what were the criteria for moving from under the stairs to up the stairs and behind his own door?
Ariana’s details are too hazy.
There are a lot of things wrong with Dumbledore as a character, but one thing we’ll never get over is how ambiguous he is – especially when it comes to the most crucial things.
When talking about their late sister, Ariana, his brother seemed to be no different, as he left out some fairly heartbreaking aspects. Nobody knows what happened to their little sister on the day she died, and we’re not sure how to feel about it.
Barty Crouch Jr’s acts were forgotten.
The Goblet of Fire is one of the darker novels in the Harry Potter series, and because there’s so much going on, we’ve let some things slip through the years. That is, until now.
Barty Crouch Jr. deserves to be recognised for taking his own father’s life, turning him into a bone, and burying it so that he couldn’t be found. That’s pretty dark stuff right there, and we can’t help but wonder why we all just shrugged it off.
